Enfoque UTE (ISSN Online: 1390-6542 | ISSN Print: 1390-9363) is a scientific journal published by the Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Industries at UTE University, Quito, Ecuador. It publishes research articles and reviews on environmental, food, agricultural, mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering, computer science, and industrial and manufacturing engineering.
Enfoque UTE is a Diamond Open Access journal and guarantees that its content and services in general will be completely free for readers (no subscription fees), authors (no APCs), and the general public.
Enfoque UTE is registered and indexed in several of the main international databases such as Web of Science (ESCI), Redalyc, Scielo, REDIB, Latindex, among others.. (About the Journal)

Enfoque UTE is an open-access scientific journal. It publishes original articles in the fields of environmental, food, agricultural, mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering, computer science, and industrial and manufacturing engineering. The journal accepts manuscripts written only in English.
This issue of Enfoque UTE brings together six contributions, including research articles and review papers, highlighting the breadth and impact of engineering and applied sciences. The contributions emphasize advances in bioengineering and sustainable systems, including experimental methodologies for crop performance and disease resistance, molecular and biotechnological approaches for agricultural applications, and controlled in vitro techniques for plant propagation. Additionally, the issue presents engineering solutions for the valorization of agro-industrial waste into biopolymers, as well as developments in computational systems and software architectures for data-driven decision-making. It also includes comprehensive analyses of emerging sequence modeling architectures and sustainable materials, reflecting current trends in efficient, scalable, and environmentally oriented engineering solutions. Altogether, these works demonstrate the integration of experimental, computational, and process-based approaches, providing multidisciplinary engineering solutions with practical and scientific relevance.
