authorship and author ethics
AUTHORSHIP
Enfoque UTE adheres to the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) definition of author and considers that to be considered an author of the work, the following conditions must be met:
- Has made a significant intellectual contribution to the theoretical development, system or experimental design, prototype development, and/or data analysis and interpretation associated with the work contained in the article; and
- Contributed to the drafting of the article or to its review and/or correction for intellectual content; and
- approved the final version of the article as accepted for publication, including references, and
- Agrees to be personally accountable for the author's own contributions and will ensure that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved, and that the resolution is documented in the literature.
Contributors who do not meet all of the above criteria may be included in the Acknowledgments section of the article.
In addition, individual roles must be disclosed, clearly indicating each author's participation in the conception, design, analysis, writing, and any other activity directly related to the work.
All authors sign the cover letter; omissions, changes in position, or institution are grounds for separation of the work from the editorial process.
AUTHOR ETHICS
Enfoque UTE considers that all work submitted to the journal followed the highest technical and ethical principles established in national and international standards, both for the preparation of the work and for the research that supports it. The authors guarantee that:
- No honorary or gifted authors have been included, nor have any been omitted as ghost authors,
- The manuscript presents the research transparently and honestly, without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation of data,
- The work is completely original to the authors, without plagiarism and without prior publication in any other medium, under any model except preprint. Publications that are self-plagiarized and submitted simultaneously to other journals will be separated from the editorial process.
- They have conducted transparent and reproducible research. The research conducted must have been properly designed and planned, and the authors undertake to keep and present, upon request, documents that validate it.
- When necessary due to its nature, the research was approved by a duly constituted ethics committee.
- The authors always declare any potential conflicts of interest in their work or the research that supports it.
